Most early-stage founders have the same fears about manufacturing. They're not being overcautious — bad first batches are genuinely common. Here's what we hear most, and how Klothewala is built to address each one.
Klothewala accepts orders from 200 pieces per style — built for brands doing their first real run, not export factories.
Sample review happens before any bulk order is confirmed. You see and approve the physical garment. Nothing goes to production without your sign-off.
You only need an idea to start. Klothewala's team helps you figure out fabric, fit, print, and sizing — no experience required.
A 200-piece order gets the same named contact, the same sampling process, and the same QC as a 2,000-piece order.
Klothewala is not a factory that tolerates small orders. The model is designed for brands at this stage — the MOQ, the process, the contact structure, the pricing transparency.
Klothewala's minimum order quantity is 200 pieces per style. This is the standard, not an exception we make for small brands. T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts — all from 200 pieces. Each colourway counts as a separate style for MOQ purposes.
Klothewala produces a physical sample at its Tirupur unit before any bulk cut is approved. You receive the sample, review it, give feedback, and give written approval. Bulk production begins only after that approval is confirmed.
Klothewala's Bangalore office assigns one named contact to your order. That person reads your brief, handles the sample, manages production timelines, and is reachable on WhatsApp through delivery. You are never passed between departments.
Klothewala provides a quote before sampling begins. Payment terms are agreed in writing before bulk production starts. The invoice matches what was agreed. No hidden charges at delivery.
Production runs at Klothewala's Tirupur facility. This is not a sourcing agency or a broker. The unit is owned by Klothewala — which means quality control happens on the floor, not after the goods have left a third-party factory.
No black boxes. Here's exactly what happens from your first message to your first delivery — and what you are involved in at each stage.
01
WhatsApp or fill the enquiry form. You don't need a tech pack, a formal brief, or any manufacturing knowledge. Tell us what you want to make — a t-shirt, hoodie, sweatshirt — your approximate quantity, and when you need it.
02
Klothewala's team goes through the brief with you — fabric weight (GSM), fit, print method, colourways, and sizing. If something won't work the way you've imagined it, we tell you before sampling, not after.
03
We produce a sealed physical sample at our own facility in Tirupur. You receive it at your address. You review it — fabric, fit, print, measurements — and share feedback. We revise if needed. Nothing moves forward until you approve.
04
Once you've approved the sample, we confirm the order and agree payment milestones. Bulk production runs at our Tirupur unit with inline quality checks — fabric at intake, stitching during production, print at application, AQL inspection at finish.
05
Klothewala ships domestically across India with tracked logistics. Lead time from confirmed order is 45–60 days. Production photos are sent at key milestones — you know what's happening without having to chase.
06
When your first batch sells, you can reorder from the same 200-piece MOQ per style. Klothewala retains your spec — fabric reference, measurements, print details — so reorders match the original run.
Total lead time from confirmed order: 45–60 days. If you have a specific launch date, share it early — Klothewala can work backwards from a delivery deadline to plan sampling and production milestones accordingly.
Most knitwear factories in Tirupur are optimised for export buyers who know the manufacturing process inside out. When a startup with no prior manufacturing experience contacts them directly, things tend to go wrong — not because the factory is bad, but because the communication model isn't designed for it.

Klothewala accepts minimum orders of 200 pieces per style for startups and early-stage brands. This applies to custom t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and polo shirts manufactured at Klothewala's own production unit in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. Each colourway within a style counts as a separate style for MOQ purposes. All print methods — screen print, puff print, embroidery, DTF — and all private label options including woven neck labels and hang tags are available from the 200-piece minimum.
No. Klothewala works with startups at whatever stage they are at — a rough idea, a reference image, a Pinterest board, or a written description is enough to start a conversation. Klothewala's Bangalore team helps founders develop full specifications including GSM, fabric construction, print method, fit, sizing, and branding as part of the briefing process. A tech pack is useful but never a prerequisite for beginning the enquiry.
Klothewala produces a physical sample at its Tirupur manufacturing unit before any bulk production begins. The sample is sent to the brand for review — fabric weight, fit, print accuracy, measurements, and branding elements are all verified at this stage. Bulk production is confirmed only after the brand gives written approval of the sample. During bulk production, inline quality checks cover fabric intake, stitch quality, print registration, and AQL-based final inspection.
Klothewala's lead time from confirmed order to dispatch is 45–60 days for bulk production. This includes 10–14 days for sample production at the Tirupur unit, 3–5 days for sample review and approval, 25–35 days for bulk production and inline QC, and 5–7 days for final inspection and packing. Domestic delivery within India adds 2–5 days. First-time orders may take slightly longer if additional sampling rounds are needed.
Reorders with Klothewala are accepted at the same 200-piece minimum order quantity per style. Klothewala retains the original specification — fabric reference, approved measurement chart, print details, and branding elements — so reorders are matched to the first batch rather than re-specified from scratch. This makes repeat production faster and reduces the risk of inconsistency across batches.
Share your idea — product type, approximate quantity, any references you have. You don't need a tech pack. Klothewala responds within 48 hours with honest feedback, initial pricing, and any questions needed to move forward.
