Private label knitwear for D2C labels, streetwear brands, and independent fashion houses — India, UK, UAE, Australia.
Your samples come back two shades off. The GSM is different from what you specified. Someone replies to your WhatsApp, but you're not sure they read the brief. You're chasing a timeline that keeps moving.
You've been told your order is 'too small' by three factories. Or worse — you've placed the order, paid the deposit, and the silence has started.
Fashion brands need something different from a manufacturer. Not just a factory that can produce. A partner who reads your tech pack properly, asks the right questions before cutting fabric, and tells you when something isn't going to work the way you imagined it — before it's too late to fix.
That's what we've built.
| Samples that miss the brief | Sample review call before we produce anything |
| Mystery GSM when the order arrives | Fabric locked to spec, confirmed before bulk cut |
| Four contacts, zero accountability | One named person, one thread, throughout the order |
| "Your MOQ is too low" — again | 200 pieces per style — we take it seriously |
| Ghost after the deposit | Stage updates with photos, proactively sent |
| Print that fades or shifts after two washes | Every print method tested on the actual fabric before bulk |
Not a black box. Not vague timelines. Here's every stage, and what you're involved in at each one.
01
Tech pack, reference image, sketch on a napkin — whatever you have. Tell us the product, GSM preference, print method, colourways, and quantity. We review it and come back within 48 hours with questions or initial pricing.
02
Before we confirm the order, we confirm the spec. GSM, fabric construction, print method, hardware — agreed in writing. This is the stage most manufacturers skip, which is why most problems happen downstream.
03
We produce a sealed sample at our own unit. You receive it — or review photos and measurements if you're outside India. You give feedback. We revise if needed. No bulk cut until you've approved the sample.
04
Once the sample is approved, we confirm the bulk order. Payment terms are agreed before this stage — typically split across order confirmation and pre-shipment. No surprises.
05
Production runs at our Tirupur unit. We do inline QC — fabric check before cutting, stitch quality during production, print registration check, AQL-based final inspection. You get production photos at key stages.
06
We handle export documentation. You receive your delivery — and a contact who's still reachable if anything needs to be resolved. Most brands come back for the next collection.
Fashion brands need more than "can you make a hoodie." Here's the full capability across products, fabrics, and decoration methods.
| Product | Fabric Options | GSM Range | Notes |
| T-Shirts | 100% Cotton, CVC, Pima Cotton | 160–240 GSM | Single jersey, interlock, rib options |
| Hoodies | French Terry, Brushed Fleece, Loopback | 280–380 GSM | Pullover, zip-up, oversized, cropped |
| Sweatshirts | French Terry, Brushed Fleece | 280–360 GSM | Crew neck and half-zip styles |
| Polo Shirts | Pique, Interlock | 200–260 GSM | Custom collar, buttons, cuffs |
| Knitwear | Cotton Knit, Acrylic Blend | Varies by style | Sweaters, cardigans — seasonal production |
MOQ: 200 pieces per style. This applies to all products and colourways listed above. Colour variations within a style are treated as separate styles for MOQ purposes. Applies to all print methods and private label configurations.

240 pieces, 350GSM brushed fleece. Four colourway variations run simultaneously, not sequentially — the most technically involved domestic fashion order we've completed.
HD print on chest, puff print on sleeve, screen print on back. Three different techniques on one garment, coordinated across four colourways.
Silicon patch, woven neck labels, custom hang tags. Every element sourced and placed by us — the brand specified everything and we executed to brief.

120-piece run. The brand came with a complete tech pack — GSM specified, print placement mapped, measurement chart included. Exactly the kind of brief we work best with.
Puff print on chest — raised, tactile, consistent across the run. No variation in height or opacity across the batch. Tested on production fabric during sampling.
We followed the tech pack exactly. Measurements checked against spec on 10% of garments at final inspection. Zero measurement deviations flagged.

The bar for fashion manufacturing is higher than for corporate branded merchandise. You're not just putting a logo on a shirt — you're building product that represents your brand's identity. Here's where we actually earn that.
We read your tech pack before we quote you. If something is going to be a problem — print placement on a seam, GSM that doesn't suit your print method, a colourway that won't hold on the fabric you've specified — we tell you before the sample stage. This conversation is the one that saves brands the most time and money.
We've run puff print, HD print, screen print, silicon patch, DTF, and embroidery — sometimes on the same garment. Each method behaves differently on different fabric weights. We know this because we test on the actual fabric before bulk. If the print doesn't match your reference on the sample, we don't cut the order.
GSM variation across a run is one of the most common hidden quality problems in knitwear. A 350GSM hoodie that arrives at 320GSM looks and feels different — your customers notice. We lock fabric to spec before the bulk cut and check again at intake. On reorders, we match the original batch, not a new approximation.
Klothewala, a managed knitwear manufacturing partner in Tirupur, India, follows full tech pack specifications for fashion brand orders — including GSM, print placement, colourway, measurement charts, and labelling requirements. Tech pack review happens before sampling, not after, so spec conflicts are identified before any fabric is cut. Brands that come with complete tech packs see fewer revisions and faster sample approval.
Klothewala's minimum order quantity for fashion brand knitwear is 200 pieces per style, applying to t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and polo shirts. The 200-piece MOQ covers all fabric options including 350GSM brushed fleece and all print methods including puff print, screen print, and silicon patch. Each colourway counts as a separate style for MOQ purposes.
Klothewala manages multi-colourway fashion drops by running all colourway variations within a single production cycle at its Tirupur manufacturing unit. The Saint District order — 240 hoodies in four colourways, 350GSM brushed fleece, three print techniques per garment — illustrates how this works in practice. Colourway alignment is checked against approved samples inline, not only at final inspection.
Klothewala produces silicon patch and puff print decorations on hoodies and other knitwear at its own Tirupur production unit. Both techniques are tested on the actual production fabric during sampling — not on a generic test swatch — to confirm registration, height, and opacity before the bulk order is confirmed. These are available from the 200-piece MOQ.
Private label knitwear manufacturing for fashion brands in India means producing garments to the brand's full specification — GSM, construction, print, and all branding elements — under the brand's own label rather than a manufacturer's label. Klothewala provides full private label manufacturing including custom woven neck labels, hang tags, custom zip pulls, and branded packaging from its Tirupur production unit. Minimum order is 200 pieces per style.
A reliable knitwear manufacturer for a fashion brand in India should own its production unit rather than broker through agents, read and respond to tech packs before sampling, provide pre-bulk sample approval, and assign a single named contact throughout the order. Klothewala is a managed knitwear manufacturing partner with its own unit in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu and a client management office in Bangalore — working with fashion brands from a minimum of 200 pieces per style.
Tech pack, reference image, or a rough description with measurements and quantity. WhatsApp works best — we respond within 48 hours and we actually read what you send.
